Bio

Anne Brooks

Ann Brooks has over thirty years of experience representing individuals and families harmed by medical errors and negligence. Since graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1993, Ann has focused her law practice on medical malpractice cases and has spent her entire legal career fighting for clients who were injured through no fault of their own.

An experienced trial lawyer, Ann has successfully prosecuted numerous complex healthcare-related cases involving wrongful death, brain injuries, birth trauma, and other catastrophic injuries. Ann has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of her clients.

Ann is the only female plaintiffs’ attorney in Oklahoma who is Board Certified in Medical Malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA). The ABPLA is a national organization that certifies lawyers who have demonstrated skill and expertise in medical malpractice. Ann is currently a board member of the ABPLA.

Because of her unique background and perspective, Ann understands the enormous challenges faced by injured people and their families. She seeks the maximum recovery for her clients, but also understands that each case is about much more than dollars and cents. Patients place their lives in the hands of physicians, surgeons, and other medical professionals. When a patient’s trust is broken through medical negligence, the consequences are often devastating.

Ann founded The Brooks Law Firm with her late husband, Gary L. Brooks, and has taken a lead role in the firm’s commitment to attaining justice for those harmed by medical mistakes.
