Stephen Voorhees Attorney
Stephen has been in practice for over 10 years and is licensed in Oregon, Missouri and Kansas. His legal career began in 2005 when he was awarded the Judge Glenn Evans Scholarship to study at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 2008. In his final year of study, Stephen received the prestigious CALI Award in Trial Practice. After passing the bar, he served a one-year term as a clerk for Missouri Court of Appeals Judge Harold Lowenstein, then the longest serving appellate court judge in Missouri history.
Thereafter, Stephen found his passion working as a trial lawyer fighting insurance companies and corporations. He has tried many personal injury cases to verdict throughout Oregon, Missouri and Kansas. His past successes include a $500,000 verdict in an insurance bad faith case, a $900,000 settlement for the wife of a young man who lost his life in semi-truck collision where fault was in dispute, and a $1,200,000 settlement for a client who suffered a traumatic brain injury after she was hit by a drunk driver.
Stephen is motivated to help individuals and families obtain justice after enduring some of the most difficult hardships of their lives. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), Oregon State Bar, and Multnomah Bar Association. He is recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and The National Trial Lawyers organization as a “Top 40 under 40” trial lawyer.
