Bio
Valeria Ubilava
Valeria was born and raised in Ukraine in a family of engineers. Choosing a different path, she pursued law and became the first attorney in her family. Her early commitment to advocacy and social justice continues to shape her legal practice today.
As a student, Valeria gained hands-on experience through internships with the Odesa District Court and Odesa Law Enforcement Agency, and by serving on the Committee for the Protection of Youth Rights at the Odesa City Council.
In her final year of law school, she worked as in-house counsel for a nonprofit organization providing medical care and rehabilitation to children with cerebral palsy. There, she advocated for children’s access to essential services and guided families through complex welfare systems. After graduation, she remained with the organization for more than six years, serving as Board secretary and supporting the HR department, until immigrating to the United States with her husband.
In 2019, Valeria joined the Lawrence Kahn Law Group, P.S., as a legal assistant and quickly advanced to litigation paralegal. She played an integral role in securing multi-million-dollar settlements in high-profile personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Building on this foundation, Valeria earned her Master of Laws degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2023 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar. In 2025, she participated in the Bob Dawson Trial Skills Workshop and joined Ladder Down, a year-long leadership and professional development program led by female attorneys and judges in Seattle’s legal community.
Fluent in three languages, Valeria is proud to represent clients from diverse backgrounds and ensure their voices are heard.
