Bio

Zviad Ubilava

Zviad’s journey to becoming a trial lawyer is defined by persistence, determination, and dedication. Born in Georgia and raised in Ukraine, he experienced challenges that gave him a deep understanding of hardship and the importance of giving a voice to those who need it most.

He earned his law degree in Ukraine, where he was selected among the top students for advanced legal studies and international programs taught in English. His academic achievements include internships and awards such as representing his university at the World Intellectual Property Organization Summer School, participating in European Union anti-corruption programs, and earning top marks in specialized law courses taught by invited legal professionals.

After immigrating to the United States, Zviad quickly adapted to the American legal system. Under the mentorship of Larry Kahn, he advanced from legal assistant, researcher, and investigator to a trusted litigation team member. Along the way, he discovered his passion for personal injury law and developed a reputation for meticulous analysis, strategic thinking, and the ability to synthesize large volumes of complex information.

Zviad continued to expand his professional credentials by earning an LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law, concentrating in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. He was awarded the competitive WSBA Litigation Section Scholarship and was named a Stone Scholar at the Joint Minority Mentorship Program at Foster Garvey. He further honed his trial skills by attending the Roger Dodd Workshop on cross-examination and Bob Dawson’s Trial Skills Workshop, working under nationally recognized masters. His next goal is the intensive three-week Trial Lawyers College.

Fluent in four languages and experienced in both civil and common law systems, Zviad approaches every case with a unique perspective. He understands that behind each case is a person or family whose life has been upended. His empathy, careful preparation, and relentless advocacy make him a powerful voice for wronged individuals.

His guiding principle remains constant: “The greatest victories aren’t the verdicts or settlements, but the clients who feel heard, respected, empowered, and fairly compensated for what has been taken from them.”

Beyond the courtroom, Zviad has a strong interest in modern computer technologies, financial markets, and derivatives. In his free time, he enjoys electronic music, collecting vinyl records, hiking Washington’s trails, and spending time with his two cats, Tesla and Churchill.
