Bio

Lawrence M. Kahn

Meet Lawrence M. Kahn, a distinguished trial attorney with a career spanning more than four decades. Larry has devoted his life to fiercely protecting his clients.

Over the years, he has earned a reputation among colleagues and adversaries alike as a relentless advocate, securing numerous multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts. His track record includes high-profile cases that not only resulted in significant financial compensation but also honored the profound losses of victims while advancing public safety.

Larry’s dedication shows in his meticulous preparation. From the moment a case lands on his desk, he and his team treat it as though it will go to trial. Yet he does not rush to court—he takes that step only when no other option remains. He knows that insurance companies, hidden behind defendants, often seek to block full and fair justice. By signaling his readiness to try every case, Larry gains leverage at the negotiating table, achieving better outcomes for his clients while keeping their best interests front and center.

He is licensed before state and federal courts in Washington and California, including the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, the Western District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. A respected member of leading legal organizations—including the American Association for Justice, Washington State Association for Justice, the Million-Dollar Advocates Forum, and The National Trial Lawyers Top 100—Larry has left an indelible mark on the legal profession.

His unwavering commitment to justice, his tireless advocacy for clients, and his drive to foster institutional change define him as an exceptional trial attorney.

Valeria Ubilava

Valeria was born and raised in Ukraine in a family of engineers. Choosing a different path, she pursued law and became the first attorney in her family. Her early commitment to advocacy and social justice continues to shape her legal practice today.

As a student, Valeria gained hands-on experience through internships with the Odesa District Court and Odesa Law Enforcement Agency, and by serving on the Committee for the Protection of Youth Rights at the Odesa City Council.

In her final year of law school, she worked as in-house counsel for a nonprofit organization providing medical care and rehabilitation to children with cerebral palsy. There, she advocated for children’s access to essential services and guided families through complex welfare systems. After graduation, she remained with the organization for more than six years, serving as Board secretary and supporting the HR department, until immigrating to the United States with her husband.

In 2019, Valeria joined the Lawrence Kahn Law Group, P.S., as a legal assistant and quickly advanced to litigation paralegal. She played an integral role in securing multi-million-dollar settlements in high-profile personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Building on this foundation, Valeria earned her Master of Laws degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2023 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar. In 2025, she participated in the Bob Dawson Trial Skills Workshop and joined Ladder Down, a year-long leadership and professional development program led by female attorneys and judges in Seattle’s legal community.

Fluent in three languages, Valeria is proud to represent clients from diverse backgrounds and ensure their voices are heard.

Bio

Zviad Ubilava

Zviad’s journey to becoming a trial lawyer is defined by persistence, determination, and dedication. Born in Georgia and raised in Ukraine, he experienced challenges that gave him a deep understanding of hardship and the importance of giving a voice to those who need it most.

He earned his law degree in Ukraine, where he was selected among the top students for advanced legal studies and international programs taught in English. His academic achievements include internships and awards such as representing his university at the World Intellectual Property Organization Summer School, participating in European Union anti-corruption programs, and earning top marks in specialized law courses taught by invited legal professionals.

After immigrating to the United States, Zviad quickly adapted to the American legal system. Under the mentorship of Larry Kahn, he advanced from legal assistant, researcher, and investigator to a trusted litigation team member. Along the way, he discovered his passion for personal injury law and developed a reputation for meticulous analysis, strategic thinking, and the ability to synthesize large volumes of complex information.

Zviad continued to expand his professional credentials by earning an LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law, concentrating in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. He was awarded the competitive WSBA Litigation Section Scholarship and was named a Stone Scholar at the Joint Minority Mentorship Program at Foster Garvey. He further honed his trial skills by attending the Roger Dodd Workshop on cross-examination and Bob Dawson’s Trial Skills Workshop, working under nationally recognized masters. His next goal is the intensive three-week Trial Lawyers College.

Fluent in four languages and experienced in both civil and common law systems, Zviad approaches every case with a unique perspective. He understands that behind each case is a person or family whose life has been upended. His empathy, careful preparation, and relentless advocacy make him a powerful voice for wronged individuals.

His guiding principle remains constant: “The greatest victories aren’t the verdicts or settlements, but the clients who feel heard, respected, empowered, and fairly compensated for what has been taken from them.”

Beyond the courtroom, Zviad has a strong interest in modern computer technologies, financial markets, and derivatives. In his free time, he enjoys electronic music, collecting vinyl records, hiking Washington’s trails, and spending time with his two cats, Tesla and Churchill.
